Community Heart in Action: 67 Minutes of Care

Our Hero Teams in the West recently spent 67 minutes of their time for Mandela Day visiting various non-profit organizations around Stellenbosch, including the Stellenbosch Night Shelter. This initiative was a heartwarming effort to connect with and support our community, especially during the cold, wet weather we’ve been experiencing.

With warm soup and bread for lunch, our team brought comfort and joy to the residents. The hot meal was a great hit, providing much-needed warmth and nourishment.

Additionally, we packed bags of naartjies to ensure everyone received enough vitamin C for the rest of winter. This thoughtful gesture aimed to boost the health and well-being of the community members, further showcasing our commitment to care.

Our visit wasn’t just about providing meals and vitamins; it was also about spending quality time with the residents. Engaging in conversations, sharing stories, and simply being present made a significant difference. These interactions are at the heart of what we do, emphasizing the importance of human connection and empathy.

By embodying our Herotel Community Heart value, we strengthened our bonds with the local community through acts of kindness and support. Our team’s efforts highlighted the power of small gestures in making a big impact, reinforcing our mission to connect not just through technology but through heartfelt actions.
